# Best gym equipment brands in India (2026)

Smaran Challapalli · Published 30 Oct 2026 · Updated 2 Nov 2026

Best gym equipment brands in India is a list of seven makers and sellers whose own websites say they supply commercial gym machines to Indian buyers. Each entry is read from the brand's page, checked 2 Nov 2026. Nothing here is a ranking, because equipment suits a floor plan and a budget, not a leaderboard.

## How this list was judged

I run a personal-training studio in Hyderabad, and equipment is the biggest single cheque most owners write. So the test here is simple and checkable.

- **Commercial range on their own page.** The brand's site must say it supplies commercial or professional gym equipment.
- **Sells in India.** The page must show an Indian address, an Indian site version or pan-India delivery.
- **Only what the page says.** If a page does not state a warranty period, a spares policy or a price, this list says "not published". It does not guess.

The order is not a ranking. Two well-known global names, Life Fitness and Precor, are left out because their pages fetched on 2 Nov 2026 did not show an India office or dealer. That is a limit of this check, not a verdict on the brands.

## The seven brands

### Technogym

Technogym's India site describes its range as "Home gym equipment, commercial gym machines, professional gym equipment" and says it has served facilities since 1983. A "For business" section covers fitness clubs, hotels and workplace wellness. The visible India page lists prices for home-leaning items, but commercial machine prices, warranty terms and service details are not published there. ### Cosco

Cosco's site lists a fitness range across cardio (treadmills, rowers, bikes), strength (plate loaded, power racks, functional trainers) and accessories. It offers a "Fitness Catalogue Commercial" as a download and describes at least one treadmill as semi-commercial. It says its products are backed by "efficient After Sales Service" and gives a customer care number. Warranty terms are not published on the home page. It cites over 1,000 gym projects since 2007, and lists site surveys, installation, annual maintenance contracts, spare parts and on-call service across India. It gives a rough budget range of ₹6 lakh to ₹40 lakh and above for full setups, with the final figure depending on machine count and delivery. Warranty period: not published. ## Buyer checklist before you pay an advance

Equipment fails in month fourteen, not on delivery day. Ask these in writing, and compare the answers, not the brochures.

1. **Commercial or home rating.** Ask whether each machine is rated for commercial use, and what maximum user weight and daily hours the rating assumes. "Semi-commercial" is a label, not a standard, so ask what it means for that model.
2. **Warranty in writing.** Ask for the period on the frame, the moving parts and the electronics, as three separate answers. Ask whether the warranty starts at delivery or at installation.
3. **Service network.** Ask who will visit your city, how many days a call takes to reach you, and whether visits are free during warranty.
4. **Spares.** Ask for the spares list and whether pulleys, cables, belts and pads are held in stock. A treadmill waiting weeks for a belt is lost memberships.
5. **Annual maintenance contract.** Ask for the AMC terms and cost as a number you can add to your yearly budget.
6. **Installation and floor plan.** Ask who does the layout, whether installation is included, and what the floor, power and ceiling needs are.
7. **References you can call.** Ask for two gyms of your size in your region that have used the machines for over a year. Call them.
8. **Total price.** Ask for one quote that includes delivery, GST, installation and the first year of service.

Keep every answer in one sheet so two quotes can sit side by side.

## Where equipment sits in your budget

Equipment is usually the largest line in an opening budget, so decide the size and floor plan first. The [start a gym in India guide](/guides/start-a-gym-india/) walks through the order of decisions, and [what it costs to open a gym in India](/guides/cost-of-opening-a-gym-india/) shows where equipment fits against rent, fit-out and licences. If you also need the software side, [how to choose gym management software](/guides/choose-gym-management-software-india/) covers that.

## Where Helmr fits

Equipment fills the floor, but a gym also needs billing, renewals and attendance on day one. Helmr, gym management software for India, is in early access and is building one app for the owner, front desk and coach, so if you are planning a new gym, [message us on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/918099066799?text=Hi%2C%20I%20want%20early%20access%20to%20Helmr%20for%20my%20gym).

## Frequently asked questions

### Which gym equipment brand is best in India?

There is no single best brand. The right choice depends on your floor area, the number of members on the floor at peak hour, and how close the brand's service team is to you. Use the checklist above and compare written quotes from at least three suppliers.

### Should I buy imported or Indian-made gym equipment?

Both exist for commercial use. Shine Fitness's page says imported premium brands cost 40 to 60 percent more than its own range, checked 2 Nov 2026, but the right comparison is total cost including warranty, spares and service in your city.

### Can I use home gym equipment in a commercial gym?

Check the rating first. Home-rated machines are built for a few hours of use a week, not a full day of members. Ask the supplier for the commercial rating in writing before you buy.

### How much does gym equipment cost in India?

It depends on the size of the gym and the machine mix. Most of the brands above do not publish commercial prices, so ask for itemised quotes. The only range on these pages is Shine Fitness's, checked 2 Nov 2026: about ₹6 lakh for compact setups to ₹40 lakh and above for premium full setups.

### Is the order of this list a ranking?

No. The brands are listed in no scored order, and every description comes from the brand's own page.
